Nice! Your treatment of the subject suggests the tractor might be in the process of getting in touch with its previous existence as minerals in the earth...but, wait...there is a fight-back, and some helper has placed a protective membrane over the heart of the beast!
Petra: Your words discribe exactly what i was thinking whilst shooting this photo...(not) lol
Always a pleasure to receive your very creative comments Ray!! Thank you very much!

I love the composition, Petra. This old workhorse gazing out to sea in its retirement. How long before it completely returns from whence it came? (:o)
Petra: I dont think we will live that moment
Thanks for your kind words...

That is a nice set of wheels you have yourself petra. is that all that is left of the pier after you got to it. wonderful tones and subject.
Petra: Yeah....they bring me everywhere i want to go...they only issue i have with it is that parking a tractor is not easy!! (or is that a general female issue? wink )
Good to see you again Neal

Great shot Petra. Did you do any HDR thing to this one? Pure magic smile
Petra: I have no clue how to "do" HDR Thomas...this is done in photoshop.

Stuff for a story or a film- who /when/why has left the tractor? A feeling of loneliness and desolation indeed, also reminding me of pictures of lost battles or accidents or illegal garbage removal, seen for example in Poland or Israel.
Petra: Actually ...that is a great idea for a series Philine!
Thank you very much..
Like the composition
Petra: Thanks S & S smile

Oh, the stories it could tell! smile There really is something quite touching to see it sitting in front of the sea like that. A bit wistful, Petra!?!

The regisseur of this film onder the title "Land's End" could be Wim Wenders, a special kind of road-movie!
It's been far too long since I visited your archive Petra, so I've just had a quick catch up now.

I particularly like this one ... and 25 Feb ... and 17 Feb, 21 Jan and 4 Oct. Oh, and 4 Sep ... the list goes on.

I don't know why you fell off my radar, but I'd better make sure I visit more frequently now, or I'll be missing out on some excellent work.
