photoblog image away from the sun....

away from the sun....

I'm over there
I'm tired of livin' in the dark
Can anyone see me down here
The feeling's gone
There's nothing left to lift me up
Back into the world I know

But now again I've found myself so far down
away from the sun
that shines into the darkest place
I'm so far down
away from the sun
that shines to light the way for me
to find my way back into the arms
That care about the ones like me
I'm so far down
Away from the sun again

3 doors down

away from the sun....

I'm over there
I'm tired of livin' in the dark
Can anyone see me down here
The feeling's gone
There's nothing left to lift me up
Back into the world I know

But now again I've found myself so far down

to find my way back into the arms

If this is a self-portrait, Petra, BRAVO! I love the lyrics about how the sun lights the way for us back into the arms of those who care. So, so true after a dark night of despair!
Petra: No not a selfportrait Ginnie...lol Its taken while watching a play at the oerolfestival....
Love the lyrics too

Intriguing picture Petra - and reading the words add a further depth
Petra: Thanks Paul....Hope everyone who sees this can make his/her own story...

Excellent composition for this very moving shot, presumably taken from some distance with a telephoto. for me the shadow play on the wall is as important as the actress in setting the mood. Mike
Petra: Actually i was quite close to the actress, agree with you on the shadow...was a luck catch...Thanks for you comment Mikesmile

It is a good thing you indicated a play as the photosubject. When I first read the words I thought you were in a deep hole and wanted to send someone in A'dam to go and rescue you, give you a flight ticket so that you can come check the sun smile

A very emotional shot and obviously you touched a chord in me. Excellent and double so for your excellent interpretation.
Petra: lol Louis, No its not me, but.......but i wouldn't say no to a flight ticket to the sun..wink
I am glad that i was able to reflect the mood of this play...
Thank you very much Louis..
This is a powerful image! The pp works perfectly with the subject matter. Where did you take this?
Petra: This was taken during the oeral festival on a duch isle called Terschelling..

for some reason reminds me of a depeche mode song. The shadow adds so much intrigue to the shot. And i thought it was bright happy summer over that side of the world. beautiful work
Petra: It is a happy summer here Neil!! But happy things are not often good photography subjects in my taste..smile
Thanks for the comment!
Strange atmosphere here Petra !
Petra: It was a very strange place and play Z.

Deep, dark, despairing moods pour out of this stunning image.
