photoblog image Shapes....

Shapes....

Just try to see in the dark
Just try to make it work
To feel the fear before you're here
I make the shapes come much too close
I pull my eyes out
Hold my breath
And wait until I shake...

Close to me - The Cure

Happy weekend!

Actually, Petra, I think it's a good practice to try to find our way in the dark...to not fear it but to embrace it for what it is and to watch the light start to shine through. That's what I feel when I drive through the night to/from Michigan and watch the dawn break. It's pure magic. The shapes start coming alive and distinguishable.

Sorry, I think I got carried away on my own story.... I like the quote you chose! smile
Petra: Lovely story Ginnie....Thank you and have a great weekendsmile

I really like the intrigue and ambiguity of the image, these ghostly figures look quite sinister but harmless at the same time, love the image. mal
Petra: Thanks Mal, thought you might like it...

not quite as creepy as a "lullaby" film clip but just as engaging. Nothing like a bit of Cure for a happy weekend. teehee. great atmosphere Petra
Petra: Cure fan Neil???? happy weekend to you and yours too...smile
As Mal says, there's an ambiguous atmosphere in this shot that's not going to be resolved easily: very well done once again!
Petra: Thanks a lot for your comments Dave, very much appreciated....Have a good weekendsmile

Oh my.... so freaky! I saw this on the front page of shutterchance and thought 'that kinda reminds me of mal's current style but and the same time doesn't' and so clicked on it... and it was you! V.good. I like it and now for many reasons.
Petra: Thanks for your visit and comment Lisa smile Glad you like the picture!
Have a great weekend...
Both the text and the photograph are superb, and a very good fit, I get a shiver from looking and reading...and even though you did not write te text, you choose it. Well done

Just one question which one was on your mind first the text or the image?
Petra: Thanks a lot for your very kind comment Patrick....the image was on my mind first...and i thought the lyrics would fit...
Petra, I'm working backwards through your archive, you appear to be the queen of blur, so far I find your work inspirational.
And I remember those lyrics!
Petra: The cure....long time ago...sigh..lol
Queen of blur...wow!! Thanks a lot Nigelsmile
