Zomersprookjes....

Been away for a few days to visit the  "oerol festival" on Terschelling....great atmosphere...

Took this one on the beach ...the glass objects were all over the place..you can put your head close to them and listen to  a story that is played on a  recorder in the object...

I would have loved to hear what was recorded in them! This is an unusual but creative idea, Petra. smile
Petra: I dont know all the stories Kay, but the one in this "bubble" i must have heard at least 20 times, because i spend at least one hour taking loads of shots like this one...Glad you like it!

Now I have seen it all smile

Suby
Petra: lol Suby. Well actualy I found an army crack team of bomb disposal experts practicing on a new glass bomb! You should have seen the shot I got when it blew up!
Love the colours, tones and perspective petra. Makes me think of someone taking off their space helmet in an alien atmosphere!
Petra: Thanks Jose, i like your alien interpretation...lol
Very creative. Nice one Petra.
Petra: Thank you bridge..smile

Excellent picture Petra. The angle and low tone colours are great.

Some funny remarks, I also first thought that someone passed out next to the source smile
Petra: Thanks for your kind comment Louissmile
I was hiding behind a sand dune Louis! This victim passed by and I kicked her ankle, she went down really easily and I got the shot and ran away! lol

LOL at Suby! I'm guessing that's how I'd feel if I had seen it for myself. At first I thought that was you, Petra, but I'm guessing you were taking the pic...unless you used the timer? But then, I'd have to say your hair has really grown since I saw you! smile
Petra: Are you calling me a long hair hippy Ginnie? I thought that you were my friend? lol
This is a very good shot! I like the unusual perspective and the muted colors. Looks like something weird is about to happen. And I guess it did, by your description of the even smile
Petra: Thanks Martin...this festival is all about weird stuff....really my kind of festival lol
Very strange... is it a glass bubble behind ? I love the soft desaturated tones here.
Petra: Its a seashell made of glass Flo....they were spread all over the beach...would have loved to see it on an empty beach, but the place was crowded all the time..
Very nice enigmatic shot!
Petra: Thanks Wim, if you have time you should see them! they are on Vlieland now...
very beautiful photography, and a very interesting story, and a ton load of wonderful comments, the comments and replies by themselves are a good reason to visit your blog today smile
Petra: Thanks Patrick...i also liked the comments i have received on this one..grin

interesting link and a great picture. the composition might have been a bit better without quite so much of this person's nether regions but the quality of the light, the colours and textures are marvelous
Petra: Thanks for your very kind comment Paul! You might be right about the composition, but i kind of like this different angle...
looked like a very sad shot before i read about the recorders...lovely tones...
Petra: Not sad at all Sam....was a funny sight seeing all those people lying in the sand with their heads in a glass bulb..
I like the sadness - great angle and important highlight on the glass make this a very strong image. Mike
Petra: Thank you very much for your visit and comment Mike, much appreciated.
