photoblog image Celluloid Hero

Celluloid Hero

please don't tread on dearest Marilyn
'Cos she's not very tough,
She should have been made of iron or steel,
But she was only made of flesh and blood.

Oh celluloid heroes never feel any pain
Oh celluloid heroes never really die.

kinks - celluloid heroes

It IS kinda sad, Petra, but the truth is that these celluloid heroes never do die! We keep reliving their bittersweet lives. And to think Anna Nicole Smith died in her similar footsteps. Who will it be in the next generation, I wonder?!
Petra: I think every generation has its own celluloid heroes yes...it has always been like that and will always be...
Thanks for your visit Ginnie!
I really cannot make out what it is...
Petra: When i was in Zutphen yesterday, i've noticed this marilyn painting hanging upside down in a shop window! You can see the reflection of the window at the other side of the street ...its near where irmgard had her exhibition...
Why not ? And an interesting reflexion, thinking with this image... what is behind our "celluloid heroes", what were/are they made of ? Like us, I guess, flesh and bones, no ? smile
Petra: Its as simple as that Flo...just flesh and bones...
I love images like this, being inspired by something you see, catching the moment and interpreting it for others. Nice appropriate use of B&W. Mike
Petra: Thanks Mike...glad you like itsmile
Very nice experiment Petra !
