The crop works well with the layered structure of the shot and it has just enough color to be intriguing.
Petra: Thanks Martin...sometimes it takes a lot of time to find the level of just enough colour & not getting a boring photo!!

The grey stuff (trees?) to the right just above the trees looks a bit weird. Colour toned down on B&W looks nice
Petra: yeah you are right Louis! not very precise of me...glad you've mentioned it! Thanks and a happy weekendsmile

At first I thought there were mountains in the background, Petra, until I looked more closely. I really like the way you crop these pics to have that panoramic feel. And that really IS what winter looks like!
Petra: Thanks Ginnie, glad you like the crop, because i was not very sure about this one. because i made it so broad and not very high...it shows so much of the webpage ...all the words and letters etc...i think that is ugly and takes away the attention of the photo...if you understand what i mean with my poor english....pffff
happy weekend Ginnie
nice panoramic pic!
Petra: Thanks a lot Nicola and a happy weekend smile

This is great Petra, I like the layers in the scene, beautiful image, It would look even better the full width of the screen, so join my crusade in the forum for larger images! Mal
Petra: I wil join you on the forum Mal, because i am a big fan of panorama's and they do look better large.
Thanks for the visitsmile

lovely scenery... almost postcard like ...

the great length and small width make it unique and give the essence of the length of the tree line
Petra: Thank you for your very kind comment Sidaksmile
